Mr Bean is a neutered male, 5-6 years old.  He is a dark agouti Netherland dwarf crossbred, weighing 1.78kg.  He has now had his RHD2 vaccination and his combined vaccination.  He is available to bond with a neutered female, and if you would like to consider taking him on trial you will need to be able to set up accommodation alongside your female so they can live side by side for around 2 weeks before trying an introduction in neutral territory.  He is used to being a house bunny but is currently being kept outside, and would possibly be happy to be adopted as a single house bunny so long as he got lots of love and attention.  He is a bit food anxious which means that when he is fed he gets agitated and can be rather defensive so he will be best suited with an owner who understands rabbits and has lots of patience to gain his trust.  His owner has said that once he gets to know someone he is the most loving companion, so he is definitely worth the effort.  I am happy for someone to take him on a trial basis if that would help him to find his forever home.  I suspect his eyesight is not as good as it could be, but it does not seem to affect him!

Also, do click on the adoption criteria link below so you are aware of our adoption criteria, especially regarding accommodation, and have a read of the bonding article elsewhere on the website as this explains the slow bonding method, which is the recommended method for matching rabbits to keep stress and risk of fighting to a minimum. The standard donation of £60 will be required for Mr Bean.

UPDATE:  Mr Bean is now reserved and will go out on trial on the 5th January as a friend for a neutered female.  The home is very experienced with rabbits and bonding so I am hopeful he will have found his forever home.

UPDATE from hopeful new owner:

An update on Mr Bean, seems to have settled in without any issues. Very gentle and no lunging. Very curious of my girl and she is much calmer with him next door than she was with Sooty. Keeping things crossed …
