  • Fantastic value for money – current 2014 donation required for a neutered male or neutered female is £45 – that makes £90 for a neutered pair.  You may initially be able to buy a rabbit cheaper from a pet shop or breeder, but bear in mind that neutering for males is now over £70 and females often over £100 and on top of that you have the vet check and vaccination costs.  This comparison shows what an excellent financial saving you make when adopting from CottonTails®.
  • All our rabbits are thoroughly vet checked (including dental examination) prior to neutering, and all are vaccinated with the latest combined vaccination prior to adoption.  All rabbits are also given a 9 day course of Panacur to ensure they are not infected with the very common parasite E. cuniculi.
  • Our rabbits are assessed for temperament and personality, and any that show significant anti-social behaviour problems such as biting will not be available for adoption.  This means that all our rabbits are screened to make sure they will make good pets.
  • Advice and support from CottonTails® continues after adoption for the lifespan of the rabbits concerned, and owners are invited and encouraged to get back in touch if there are any problems (apart from emergencies where the best course of action is to take the rabbit straight to the vet).
  • Our rabbit dating agency offers quick, efficient and successful bonding for lonely neutered rabbits, with help and support throughout the process and beyond for as long as it is needed.
  • Single guinea pig males are routinely neutered to enable them to be bonded with females, and the donation cost 2013 is currently only £15 for a neutered male guinea pig.  Considering that the usual vet charge for such an operation is usually around £70, this is a massive saving and an excellent financial deal.  Donation required for females or un-neutered males is £10 each.  Females are not neutered due to the high risk of failure.
  • Guinea pigs are all health and temperament assessed prior to adoption to ensure all is well. We continue to give help and support after adoption for as long as it is needed.
  • We offer excellent boarding facilities at low cost.
